It was his sixth career triple-double at LSU, an absurd number for a college center. Over three seasons in Baton Rouge, O'Neal became the first player in SEC history to lead the conference in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, and blocked shots, a two-time SEC Player of the Year and National Player of the Year in 1991. LSU retired his No. 33 in 2000, only the fourth number retired in any sport at the school.
